It seems that marketing campaigns are now using stereotypical issues in order to grab your attention on what they say is socially acceptable. This clip from a video made by thunderf00t, a well respected youtuber who has made a living off of addressing social issues in the world, is just one example of what media can trick you into believing. Another point made in this video appears when he spots an issue in a #likeagirl campaign by dove. The point shows that although dove talks about supporting all women against stereotypes, they only use skinny and attractive girls in their commercials. Things like this appear in the media constantly, but since many people don't care or have time to look at the components of the approach, we go along with what the majority believes.
